"Pollinator Adventures":
I designed this book for a NY City Non-Profit, "Behind the Book", which gives underserved schools a program for students to gain a spectrum of benefits from the experience of writing and illustrating a story that is turned into a printed book for them to own.
I was given the theme of Pollinators and high-res images of the children's handwritten stories and art. I developed the concept of chalkboard art and used Adobe apps to design and produce the book, including design elements I drew based on the concept and used to create cohesion.
The Art Director provided this feedback on my work: "Helena did such a beautiful job with the Pollinator book. Behind The Book was so thrilled with the results of the creativity and care you invested that we ordered extra copies for our donors! The students were filled with pride (and awe!) when they saw their printed books."
